TONIGHT: Ben Cooley Hall performs live, 6PM

We have a very special guest this evening (6PM) at Bluebird: on tour from Rhode Island, folk/pop guitarist Ben Cooley Hall! As his website tells it:
Ben Cooley Hall, frontman of the turn-of-the-millennium Boston trio The Mary Reillys, has returned to the stage, now as a solo act. Hall’s new material still bears the watermark of the Reillys’ trademark hooky, melodic pop and searching ballads, but with greater artistic maturity; elements of Americana and folk are now woven more clearly into the pop fabric. “My songs tend to be about the often invisible core of everyday life,” says Hall, “the place where chronic patterns collide to catalyze insight and, perhaps, growth.” Performing live, the stripped-down nature of Hall’s solo act makes for a more immediate, intimate experience, yet still provides a sound and a presence big enough to fill venues of various sizes. It sounds like the perfect act for a space as cozy and natural as Bluebird's, so come enjoy your ice cream with some live music by a truly talented individual.
PS: Thank you, Capitol Hill, for voting Bluebird the best dessert at Wednesday's Sweet September event!
